Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month. It is the month we celebrate the achievements of American women and reflect upon the struggles of women in the past and today. This celebration of women began in 1981 with Congress' passage of Pub. L. 97-28 and continues today with President Obama's Presidential Proclamation of February 28th, 2011.

For more information about Women's History Month, visit the Law Library of Congress' In Custodia Legis blog. The Law Library of Congress also maintains a Commemorative Observation page for Women's History Month providing easy access to all of the legislative history for this month's celebration of women.
