Legal Writing Checklists

Working on a big legal writing project? Not quite sure how to organize your thoughts and information? Perhaps making a checklist will help you out. In her new article, 'The Legal Writer's Checklist Manifesto', Jennifer Murphy Romig lays out the benefits of creating checklists to manage legal writing tasks. Checklists are not new to legal research - textbooks are full of them, however for legal writers, taking the time to create a checklist can assist them in avoiding editing errors, provide guidance in examining case law, and even help writers to avoid skipping valuable steps like analyzing and explaining legal authorities.

Libguides are your Lifesaver!

The law library has created several Libguides for your use. For students these guides can help you study, get acclimated with the library, or assist you with class prep. There are also Libguides tailored to faculty members. Libguides may be on a specific topic or a topic of general legal interest, but either way, they can make your life easier by helping you research or giving you more information.
