Conflict Resolution Day is an international event celebrated every third Thursday in October. This exciting occasion was established by the Association for Conflict Resolution in 2005 to:
- Promote awareness of mediation, arbitration, conciliation and other creative, peaceful means of resolving conflict;
- Promote the use of conflict resolution in schools, families, businesses, communities, governments and the legal system;
- Recognize the significant contributions of (peaceful) conflict resolvers; and
- Obtain national synergy by having celebrations happen across the country and around the world on the same day.[1]
The North Carolina Central School of Law Library has several resources available to assist you in fine tuning your conflict resolution skills.
Stop by the main floor of the library to view a display of our Alternative Dispute Resolution resource collection. We also have an Alternative Dispute LibGuide.
