Myra Bradwell (pictured in our blog earlier this month) was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1892 and is known as America's first female lawyer. Today, over 120 years later, "lawyer" has become one of the most profitable professions for women according to a recent article in Forbes magazine. Even in this economy, female attorneys are making competitive salaries (coming in third to the salaries of female pharmacists and CEOs).
